Molly Ringwald (born Molly Kathleen Ringwald on February 18, 1968 in Roseville, California) is an actress, author, singer and dancer. As a member of the “Brat Pack”, the group of actors who appeared together in several coming-of-age films in the 1980s, Ringwald starred in Sixteen Candles, The Breakfast Club and Pretty in Pink. She has written two books: Getting the Pretty Back: Friendship, Family, and Finding the Perfect Lipstick and When It Happens to You: A Novel in Stories. Ringwald will play Mrs. Bailey in the film Jem and the Holograms, due out in Oct. 2015.

Ringwald first married French writer Valéry Lameignère. Five years after their divorce, Ringwald remarried Greek-American writer and book editor Panio Gianopoulos. They have three children: daughter Matilda, and twins Adele and Roman. When Ringwald starred on the ABCFamily series The Secret Life of the American Teenager, her pregnancy was written into the story.
